I have just about the same situation and I bought a 2210 2wd with a 4' bushhog and 4'box. I have pulled pine trees that the trunk was big as my waist with all the branches still attached with no problem. In deep gravel it will spin only when the box gets completely full, but it will keep going. I don't have any experience with any of the smaller tractors , however, I can't imagine that anything larger would be of any more assistance. I would have liked to get a loader, and if you have the $, I think they are worth it. I could have used one a hundred times!
Hopefully this may help with the top end, and maybe someone can fill in how small you can go and still be happy. ....
